Hi folks it is us again. This time we say hi from the Pantanal before flooding season starts, which will be soon. One tip for future travellers, if you are afraid of musquitos or do not like to sweat, don't go to this place. Since we don't care about this at all..... we had a blast.
View of the river Miranda, the boat in front prevens people from drowning.
This is the type of housing, which of course has to be build on poles.
One of the things we did was philosophising on the river, getting inspired by nature is what we call it. On the picture below you see the response of the animals, to our presence.
The bewildered look shows that these animals do not know how to response to human presence, well we on the other hand also did not have a clue so that makes two.
The tucan is a bird that is well know for its black feathers me thinks. Try to spot the second and third one.
Next to musquitos, the cayman is populating the pantanal in great numbers. They are harmless for humans, but viscious to other smaller animals. Fishing next to a croc might lead to a fish fight.
The biggest rodent in the world is the Capibara. It is a very curious animal, sociable and intelligent. However it also likes to eat the hairs of you legs, which can be annoying when it happens in the water. Next pictures shows how big it actually is, but they are adorable.
That they are sociable is clearly seen by the company it travels with.

We also went horse back riding, being new to us some of us suffered afterwards. No names given. Ana can live with this.
Piranha fishing is always funny. Remarkable thing is that there were three Dutch people fishing all morning, providing enough food for a full Indian tribe. It seems the fishing blood really runs through our vains. Some people just think it is boooooring.
This fellow is nasty with stingers on the side and the top, but catfish do taste good.
Well this is how we look at the moment, happy and on our way to Salvador. So next time more beach pictures. Cheerio
